EMERIL'S

Had dinner here Sunday night. WOW!!! What wonderful service. Beautiful place. Great food. I even ordered & ate a salad - I know, I know - I don't eat salads - but it was YUMMY!

YOUTH

This is my kiddo. He's going in to high school next month (he's already been going every weekday this summer for football practice) and he's definitely a TEEN, but he's still young. He still likes to play his video games, and occasionally watch a cartoon. I'm seeing less and less of these types of things, and it's a little sad, but I love watching him come into his own.

TREPASSER

I was lying in bed and I turned my head and looked over and saw this!!!!!!! My heart about stopped. It scared me to death. After I got my breath back (and my speaking ability) I showed my husband who laughed at me. I told him he had to get it OUT. So he was trying to figure out how he was going to get this guy out of the house all the while this trespasser was basking in the light streaming down from the window, quite content to pose for pictures - while in and out of his nap. I think it's an alligator lizard - and I know they bite - but this one was very passive. I know it's not a great shot, I've caught the corner of the bed sheet, but that was as close as I dared to get.

WATER

Drove to the beach to play with taking pictures of water. I wanted to catch the water droplets crashing, and I wanted to slow it down so you could see the movement of the water. Here's the slowed down version. Sorry the water doesn't look pretty. It was early AM and overcast.

TAXI

The weather is always so nice here in San Diego you see these guys all over. Especially downtown or at the different parks and tourist areas. They're our local taxi's - they're called Pedi-cabs. This was taken at Balboa Park - that's the fountain beside the Ruben H. Fleet Space Center.

CACTUS

Went for a drive with my hubby today and came across this little beauty on the side of the road. She was so pretty and green when everything else around was brown I had to take her picture. Where we live we're 30 minutes from the desert or 30 minutes from the beach - we went desert side today.

GRANOLA

My breakfast this morning. **EDITED TO ADD** This is vanilla yogurt with strawberries & blueberries added. The granola cereal is sprinkled on top to be mixed in. It adds a bit of flavor and crunch. The whole thing is very yummy (and only 3 WW points!).

FRAME

This is a picture of my friend taking a picture of a sunflower. I love that she's silhouetted & the way her arms frame the flower. I also like that you can see the light in the space created in her arms.

IRON SCROLLS

Out shooting in Balboa Park and came across this fence. Shot this blurring the foreground and focused on the scroll in the back. Thought it came out pretty cool. The front scroll almost looks like a shadow behind the back scroll. Notice how much bigger it is than the back scroll...
