DISH

This is Hanna's water dish at work.

CLOUDS

I went outside to take a "Cloud" picture today and there wasn't even one in the sky. Not one! So I had to do a cheat. I took this on vacation a couple of weeks ago up at Mammoth. It's so pretty there. I loved the way the clouds framed the trees in this shot.

APPLES

Today's word was "Apples". I just happened to have a wooden bowl full of fresh apples sitting on my table.

WHITE

Edit*Adding a cheat. Had to, it was perfect for the prompt!

This photo was taken during one of my photo classes - our instructor wanted us to take a picture at night using a long exposure and we had to catch the lights & reflections on the water - but the boats had to remain white!

OK, don't laugh at me, but this was the only thing "white" that I had in the office (and I had to dig through the First-Aid kit to find 'em). I had some plain paper - but that's pretty boring. I know Q-tips aren't the world of excitement, but I tried to make it interesting by focusing on the stick part of the Q-tip and blurring the swabs. I also like the reflection caught on the desk. It's all I could do with a Q-tip! (P.S. Lin - if you happen to stop by today - would you invite me to see your blog - I've missed seeing your and Joshua's pictures!)

EYE

This is my son's eye. He has such bright blue eyes and unfortunately I didn't capture that very well, but I still like this picture.

FAT

This is the "fat" lady of the bunch. She's also the orneriest. (I wonder if she gets grumpy when she gets hot too?) She's full of character anyway - totally rules the roost!

SMILE

I'm going to post a few today - trying to catch up. This is my wonderful boy - how I love him!

WET

The word for today is "Wet". It's so blasted hot and dry here the only thing "wet" that I could find was the condensation on the cup of my iced coffee. (Maybe the word should have been "dry" hee hee!)

CHOP

Ok, still slacking. Sorry! But school started today, so that should mean we're back to some type of schedule. Hopefully I'll just get right back on track. Anyhow...the word today was chop - and I had no idea what to post. Then I remembered I took a picture of a little squirrel eating an acron while we were on vacation (2 weeks ago). The squirrel was sitting on a tree that had been "CHOP"PED down. I know it's a bit of a cheat all around, but I hope it works.

BLOOM

I fell a bit behind on my picture of the day assignments - so I'm going to try and play catch up. One of the words that I missed was "Bloom". I shot this flower, not only because it was one of the only blooming flowers I could find, but also because it reminded me of my grandpa. My grandma and grandpa had these growing in their front yard before my grandpa passed away and he loved them (me too).

FOIL

Today's word is "Foil". This is my foil tape that I used on craft projects. This stuff is GREAT. I don't know that it makes for an interesting picture, but it has many wonderful uses (Tim Holtz alcohol inks!).

BREAKFAST

Almost had a peach today but who could pass up such a pretty pear?!

SUMMER

Well the girls are back at Her Space--My Space & I'm back from vacation, so hopefully this show will be back on the road. Today's word is "Summer". I took this just a couple of days ago (whilst on vacation) and it seemed the most appropriate. This was taken at June Lake near Mammoth, CA.
