I couldn't decide which photo to use, so today you get two. These are from my trip to New York (5/07) - and this is the site of the World Trade Center. It's so emotionally overwhelming when you're there. Where these two magnificent buildings once stood there's just this hole in the ground where they're finally starting to rebuild. Just to the side of this is a Fire Station. This wall-long plaque is mounted on the side. Here's a shot of the towers on fire and the firemen working and it reads "May We Never Forget". **I think you can see it bigger/better if you click on the image.** Sorry about the sadness of today's post - will do happier tomorrow!

Dear Aubrey from around the world we remember with you this terrible travesty.
Love always

Beautifully poignant shots
I think that this is a perfect remember. Mom
I'll never forget that day. I love the photos you put up today.
we thought of the same thing (^_^)
An excellent thing to remember.
Just been to Bambi's blog.
Brilliant and apt take on the prompt today. The wall in the second picture will hopefully serve as a constant reminder, not just to the US, but to the world, the gravity of this event.
